Terms & Conditions
All our prices are quoted in pounds Sterling and are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged for all services where applicable at the current prevailing rate.
Parking charges and tolls are not included and will be charged at cost.
All hires are calculated as starting and finishing at Marble Arch (Central London), except those hires to and from various airports or those hires that are subject to a fixed charge.
Chauffeur's overnight subsistence allowance will be made by arrangement.
Gratuities are at the client's discretion.
A surcharge of 25% will be made for services provided (excluding extras) when a journey starts or finishes during a UK bank holiday.
A 100% surcharge is applicable for journeys on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and also from 18:00 New Years eve until 10:00 New Years day, thereafter the 25% standard surcharge will apply.
All cars are equipped with mobile telephones. Any usage is charged at £1 per minute inland and £3 per minute overseas.
Airport transfer tariffs are based on one way, direct non-stop transfers to or from central London, or vice-versa.
Picking up from airports we allow a waiting time of 30 minutes for domestic landings and 45 minutes for international landings free of charge.
Any excess time or mileage over and above the stated allowances will be charged at either the standard hourly
rates, or the additional mileage rate.
Cancellations received within 2 hours prior to the despatch of the vehicle will be charged at a minimum charge rate except Airport transfers or No shows at Airports or Docks, which will be charged in full.
All concerts and major sporting events must be reserved as hourly service. Merlin Chauffeur Drive does not provide pick up and drop off service for major sporting events or concerts.
A reasonable amount of luggage is allowed, but luggage which, in the opinion of the chauffeur amounts to excessive weight may not be carried. The company accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to luggage or any other item, however such loss or damage may be caused.
Only a reasonable amount of hand luggage may, with the chauffeurs' approval, be carried in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
Under the terms of our insurance policy the company expressly prohibits any persons other than their own chauffeurs from driving their vehicle and can only seat the number of passengers according to that vehicle's seating capacity.
These terms and conditions do not affect the client's statutory rights.
